Original title: My cd device driver (sony cd-rw crx217E) can't be enabled or installed:

 

 

When I tried to burn my music list from Window's Media Player 11 as I've done in the past I get a message: Windows can not load the device driver for this hardware. Driver might be corrupted or missing (Code 39) Trying all day to uninstall driver & reinstall

with no luck. Need to burn an audio CD of my music from Window's Media Player 11. Up until about 6 months ago I burned several CD's and now: wont burn: no playback. Tried to update to a "new driver (window's update) but there is no alternative to device driver

sony cd-rw CRX217E recommended. HELP? ANY suggestions? DELL Windows XP
