I was shutting down my laptop (Sony Vaio, if that's relevant) and along with the shut down, I believe Windows did a few updates. When I tried to turn on my laptop the next day, it kept telling me that it failed to configure certain updates and needed to

restart. I restarted my laptop probably 4 or 5 times, and still, no progress. One of the options it showed me was to refresh Windows 8..I did NOT know this meant deleting a bunch of my programs, including the expensive: Microsoft Office Home and Student. My

track pad doesn't work properly. I can't scroll by sliding down the right side of the track pad. The audio on my laptop has also changed. I have no idea why. Also, a lot of the Vaio care programs that came with the laptop are gone. Is there any way for me

to recover all of the "Apps removed while refreshing" my PC?

If it helps, I did update to Windows 8 from Windows 7 just a few weeks ago. Any help would be much appreciated!
