After installing service pack 3, there is 100 percent demand on the CPU, and system idle is at 99 percent. Uninstalling the service pack, and re-installing service pack 2 resolves the memory leak ?? Computer slows the the equivalent of a pentium 75.

This seems to be the norm with some AMD users in different forums around the net.

All programs closed, startup programs suspended, and the cpu draw is 100 percent. I even tried a reformat and clean install to resolve possible, software and hardware conflicts, unplugging all but the to be local/ logical drive.

This makes it difficult to install Windows 8, and resolving this may end a mass of complaints of install failures many are having to deal with. Including myself.

I am running 3000+ MB, AMD 1.8, Ram/ 2 gigs. A basement and old configuration, but this problem is not limited to mine, but duals and quads as well. Anyone have any Ideas????
