Posted December 2, 201211 yr FPCH Admin I have a computer installed Windows 7 64-bit version, and I want to install MSE so I visit the Microsoft website here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/security-essentials-download Each time after clicking the 'Download' button the website fetch me a 32-bit MSE install file. Of course I cannot install it on my computer, I need a 64-bit version. Why cannot the Microsoft website detect my OS type correctly? On another computer the website can detect the 64-bit OS correctly and fetch a 64-bit MSE downloading, but on my computer it cannot detect my OS correctly. And, Seriously speaking, I am not a stupid user, I know the difference between 64-bit and 32-bit. WHY the Microsoft website do not provide links directly for 64-bit and 32-bit versions of MSE? If Microsoft website provide such links of course I will choose the 64-bit version as I need. But now I have no way to get a 64-bit MSE. This is really the design mistake that not friendly enough to the customer. View this thread Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
