Posted June 22, 201212 yr FPCH Admin I have a new hp Pavilion dv7 which came with Windows 7 Home Premium. I have found that my old xp devices won't work and was advised to buy the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. I bought an upgrade card at Staples and went through the installation steps as per instructions. It seemed to be okay. I see the Windows Virtual PC folders listed in the Programs area of the Start Menu, but when I try to start them, all I get is a message that I have to install the upgrade for xp. I don't know what these folders are supposed to do, but they ain't doing it. What can I do? I'm not going to pay for ANOTHER upgrade when I already have one. And why don't these things come with instructions anymore????? View the thread Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
