Posted June 19, 201212 yr FPCH Admin My security essentials was not running today. After checking this forum, I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it. After a few hours, I got a message that said I needed to reboot to complete "a clean". Tried to reboot, and windows wouldn't start. Finally did a system restore to an earlier time today and now Security Essentials won't start NOR will it let me reinstall it (says it is already installed) or remove it (says that files are missing). any help would be greatly appreciated.
