Posted June 10, 201212 yr FPCH Admin My laptop has been put through the ringer in the past half year, having the MoBo replaced twice, the HD, and various logic boards. It's been in the various service depots either belonging to the manufacturer or approved by them. I got it back and I want to re-apply the upgrade from Windows 7 Home to Windows 7 Pro. When I visit the Microsoft website, they don't provide a ready means do do that. The web process requires that you re-purchase the upgrade. I already have a key for that. Can I re-apply the upgrade? It's the same computer (as much as you can call it that with the upgrades). At any rate, I only have one permanent computer, so it may have changed all its innards, but I will certainly not be using the upgrade on more than one platform (as I only have one, apart from my 1st generation iPod Touch).
