Posted June 8, 201212 yr FPCH Admin My computer, Windows Vista Home Basic have failed to install SP2 persistently and I've tried to restart the three services: background intelligence, windows update, cryptographic services/ renaming catroot2 and softwaredistribution and rebooted the computer. When installed during safe mode, it failed. When installed through the standalone package, it failed Cannot find object or property code error 0x80090024 CRYPT_E_NOT_FOUND. When installed through windows update, same error code. System File Checker report that the system have no violations and despite all of this sp2 remain unresolved. System Readiness Tool installed one update but barely helped me to install sp2. Can anyone figure this out? View this thread Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
