Posted June 7, 201212 yr FPCH Admin Recently, I had to reinstall Wild Tangent Games app (a had a problem after downloading a new game). At one point the WT support guy told me to remove the program and re-install it (was outdated). Did that, downloaded new setup.exe file. But, when I run it, it fails to install. (The progress bar with "Installing critical files" was displayed, but did not progress. After a few minutes, got the alert, "There was an unexpected error during installation. Please try again. (Error 1-769)". Tried a few more times, but no luck.) Was told by WT support that it is probably not working well with my security/AV/firewall software. I have only MS Security Essentials running. I considered completely disabling MS SE, but then thought better of it, and have decided to post this question. Does anyone have any input? I am running Windows 7 (64 bit) on an HP ProBook 4530s (2.1 GHz, 4GB RAM). Thanks!!! View this thread Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
