Posted June 7, 201212 yr FPCH Admin I am on Windows XP sp 3. After my wife switched off the pc half way during power down, I have not been able to update properly. I kept getting updates offered repeatedly even though they were shown as installed correctly. I then had an upgrade to Silverlight which seemed to install fine. The next time I went to Windows update, it just froze and I had to ctl alt delete to cancel it as it was not responding. I have tried Mr. FIXIT with no success. I run Kasperski Antivirus but that has been OK for years. It all started with the untimely switch-off. Please can anyone help? View this thread Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
