Anti-virus license key renewal scam???

I just received a call from "Microsoft Windows" team and they claimed they got messages from my computer that said I had viruses & malware. At first they seemed legit and had me go to some places on my computer that had warnings and error messages so

that seemed genuine. Then they claimed it was because my Norton license key renewal had expired (even though my Norton says it's working properly and my computer is secure) and they wanted to sell me a Microsoft key renewal for my Norton. When I refused

they said Microsoft is going to blacklist my computer and not help me again. Wwwhhhaaatttt? I assume it's a big scam...wanting the $ for the license key renewal but thought I'd check. Anyone heard of anything like this?
