Having to run Microsoft Security Essentials 2 & 3 times a day

I run Microsoft Security Essentials daily because no matter how often I run it, it always says my computer is potentially unprotected. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it from the Microsoft website. I also have IOBIT Advanced SystemCare Pro and IOBIT

Malware Fighter v1.4. Should my computer require a daily and sometimes 2 and 3 times a day cleaning? This happens even on days when I am at work all day and the computer is not on. Could some malware be in my computer that is not being detected by any of the

programs I have for protection. Also, I have run the Microsoft virus scanner and it too, says my computer is safe - so, what gives?
