Win XP 64 bit - which info to trust

Dear All,

Recently i try to find out what is the maximum physical memory (RAM) supported on Window XP 64 bit?

I got two answer from Microsoft website.

1) 128 GB ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa366778%28v=vs.85%29.aspx#physical_memory_limits_windows_xp )

2) 16 GB ( http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457053.aspx#EFAA )

Both the above website is from Microsoft.com ( which website should i trust -- msdn or technet )

i know the answer must be 16 GB ( but it has created a doubt in my mind, whether the information in the above website can be trusted or not )
