Posted March 10, 201212 yr Hi, I recently received a Toshiba laptop. I incorrectly chose the 32 bit version of windows 7 which cannot access most of the memory on the Toshiba. When I called customer support of Toshiba, they said the only way to do a non-destructive reinstall is to buy a copy of Windows 7 and reinstall. The Toshiba didn't come with a disk. It was installed on a partition on the drive. I happen to have a licensed copy of Windows 7 Pro from about six months ago. So I was going to use this disk to do an upgrade from the 32 bit version to the 64 bit version. However the install didn't work.... I get the message "Your current version of Windows is more recent than the version you are trying to upgrade to. Windows cannot complete the upgrade." As I have a licensed version, I would like a new version that can accomplish the upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit from Windows 7 32 bit. Thanks in advance. Blake Continue reading...
