Posted March 10, 201212 yr I have a "Cannot ReInstall XP Pro" on my HP pavilion after I tried windows 8(and hated it). I have a HP with AMD dual core, 2gig ddr that I cannot get XP to reinstall. After the second worse 2 hours of my computer life with Windows 8(the other was ME way back when). I scrubbed the HD with drive scrubber to make a Clean install of my XP recovery discs. This lasted 4-5 hours each time before my pc would go back screen while rebooting(complet with xp logo and curser) and not restart. I did this 3 times then 4th attempt after wiping the HD (AGAIN) I now get "These PC recovery discs do not support this pc model". Previous to Windows 8 this was a stable workhorse and now a large *&^*%^ paper weight. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Regards Keith G Continue reading...
