Posted March 7, 201212 yr Hi, I am not sure if I am in the right forum, but since the issue I am experiencing begins with MSE I thought I'd post the question here. For about a week now, whenever I do a system scan (manually) with MSE, my laptop freezes always on file amdsata.sys in location c:\windows\systems32\drivers. The only thing I could do was to hard reboot (holding down the laptop start button for a few seconds). I was using Avast until a week ago when I uninstalled it in favor of MSE.
