Posted March 5, 201212 yr I reinstalled Windows 7 for reasons that could be explained in an entirely separate thread. Anyway, Windows 7 is stuck on the "stage 3 of 3 Preparing to configure Windows" screen and has been since late last afternoon. So for a good 13 hours. I'm not supposed to turn the computer off... So do I wait until the world comes to an end or do I have other options? --- Yes, this is happening after running MS Update after the reinstall. We really don't have this kind of time to waste.
