Lost System Restore

On my Dell Latitude D620 with Vista Enterprise with no apparent reason I

lost the system restore points (appened 3 times). An other problem (cause,

effect or just an other problem) is that some 25% of switch non freeze the

PC after a couple of minutes with System (PID 4) consuming 50-80% of cpu and

eating tho whole memory. Any suggestion?
