start up windows installer problem

I've just upgraded my internet security,and as part of process had to

download a new version of windows installer KB893808-V2-X86.EXE. Now when I

start up, windows installer tries to install "Document Viewer" then I am

requested to insert CD-ROM, I do not have this. I then cancel and error 1706

appears "no valid source could be found for product Document Viewer. The

windows installer cannot continue". When I close this message, another

message box appears Microsoft .NET Framework "An unhandled exception has

occurred in a component in your application. Click continue and application

will ignore this error and attempt to continue. Object reference not set to

an instance of an object" I cannot get shot of this message without CTRL ALT

DELETE Please can somebody advise whether there is something I can do to

stop windows installer doing this?
