Why does the MSE icon in my taskbar sometimes turns a brown colour?

The MSE icon in my taskbar sometimes turns a brown colour. I get the latest updates but it's still showing a brown icon. When I put my curser over the icon I get the following message: 'Computer Status - Potentially Unprotected'. what's wrong with MSE?
