Guest KerenInc Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 We use Windows XP Professional and two night ago the computer crashed - after rebooting a Microsoft Windows window popped up that said: The system has recovered from a serious error. A log of this error has been created. etc. When I checked the logs yesterday I noticed that it was completely full and had therefore not created the log that it said it had. After clearing the logs and rebooting again I found a few warning and error messages and I after trolling the many, many websites regarding the subjects of these logs I have yet to find anything that has helped. I am hoping that if I post them here someone will at least know something helpful about at least one of these - the first one was in the System Log and is as follows: Event Type: Error Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Category: None Event ID: 7000 Date: 2/14/2012 Time: 11:10:06 AM User: N/A Computer: PENDLETON Description: The Bomgar Support Customer Client [1264013490] service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the path specified. NOTE: I know what Bomgar is, but I have no idea how it got onto our computer and can find no trace of it on our computer therefore making it difficult to remove it. As far as I am aware it is not something we have ever used. The second one was also in the System log and is as follows: Event Type: Error Event Source: iaStor Event Category: None Event ID: 9 Date: 2/14/2012 Time: 11:12:03 AM User: N/A Computer: PENDLETON Description: The device, \Device\Ide\iaStor0, did not respond within the timeout period. Data: 0000: 0f 00 05 00 01 00 6a 00 ......j. 0008: 00 00 00 00 09 00 04 c0 .......À 0010: 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........ 0018: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........ 0020: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........ 0028: 00 00 00 00 00 ..... NOTE: I have no idea what this is or what products we have that it might be related to. The last two were in the Application Log and I did not save the full information before clear it, but here are how they were listed: 1. Warning 2/14/2012 2:02:15 PM SQLBrowser None 3 N/A PENDLETON 2. Warning 2/14/2012 2:02:37 PM Microsoft Fax Initialization/Termination 32026 N/A PENDLETON Thanks in advance to anyone who can help walk me through how to fix these. Again I have tried following directions posted as answers to these problems in other forums, but they either did not resolve the issue or did not seem to be applicable to the options available to me.
