Extracting Drivers ready for Import into WIM

I am working with WAIK to prepare a new Windows 7 image and have a few questions about preparing drivers.

 

I am using "DriverBackup" to extract drivers from a test machine, but notice that the files also extracted do not include SourceDisksFiles as listed in INF. Without knowing the fundamentals about how drivers work and what they require etc. etc. I assume they atleast need all files listed in SourceDisksFiles, so copied from Driver Source and all seems to then work when adding drivers using DISM to image.

 

I am sure there is a technique or a set of guidelines I should be following ...... advice?
