Posted February 9, 201213 yr I am getting a bootmrg is compressed in a clean install of windows 7 ultimate on a hpxw8400 media composer editing computer. I have read the posts and tried booting from the cd drive and then did repair but it still did not work. Any ideas on how to fix this. What does microsoft say about this problem because it seems like tons of people are running into it when they do a clean install. I need to fix this quick as I am losing money with a downed Avid.
