Posted February 8, 201213 yr Is it possible to configure a group policy preference (i.e. not to enforce the setting) for "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" for IE8 and IE9? I've read about KB2530309, where one can apply a hotfix and have group policy preferences work for IE9. However, the Internet Settings preference item doesn't provide a setting for compatibility view. I don't want to enforce this setting in our organization. My intention is to flip the switch and allow our users to be able to turn it off again if need be. I've also combed for this setting in the Internet Explorer Administration Kit but couldn't find it.
