OneNote 2010's callibri problem

I, too, have a big problem with Callibri. Not only is it an ugly-as-sin typeface, but whenever I get to the bottom of inputting something in my notebook, using Garamond 12 pt. (the typeface I have chosen for my default), the program reverts to Callibri 8 pt., grey. I realize I can fix each instance of this by using "format painter," but that's a lot to ask of someone using a presumably modern piece of software. From other posts going back several years, I see that Microsoft seems to have a Callibri fixation, and that Microsoft hasn't fixed the problem. Does anyone have suggestions about how to jury-rig a solution? Thanks.
