Posted February 6, 201213 yr I have installed the 64-bit Remote Server Admin Tool KB (KB958830) on my fully patched system and am able to add some Features ( i.e. ADUCs installs fine), but when I try to install the Group Policy Management Tools (the GPMC) the progress bar zooms to the far right and sits there for a few minutes. After that I get the message that "An error has occurred. Not all of the features were successfully changed." The GPMC is not installed. Clicking OK generates a Restart Now/Later dialog. Restarting does not help. It's not generating any event log entries and I don't know where to look for any possible logs. Anyone have any clues why this is happening? I'm not even sure how to start troubleshooting it. BINGing it produces 1000s of hits telling me I have to install the RSAT KB. Tom Continue reading...
