Posted February 3, 201213 yr Hello all, Recently my friend gave me his Acer Aspire 1420P tablet/laptop after a recent upgrade, and he had it reset to factory defaults. I have a bootable Windows 7 Professional x64 USB drive, and I decided to do a clean install (bloat makes me shudder!). It appeared to be working fine until the aforementioned error appeared. I have been scratching my head at this, and I tried poking about in Google, but nothing applied to me because they were talking about old DVD drives, etc. Is there any solution for this other than to fork out £30-odd for an external DVD rewriter?
