Posted February 2, 201213 yr Hello, I presently have Windows 7 Home Premium running on a Sony Vaio VGN CS390. I did a complete restore to the original Sony Vista Home. Upgraded to Windows 7 home, and upgraded all the drivers to Windows 7 64-bit using Sony discs. I have a physical copy of Windows 7 Professional that I want to use to UPGRADE (If I do a full install all the Sony software and drivers will be lost (particular parts of the computer won't work). However, the physical disc only allows a full install. Instead, I used Windows Anytime Upgrade. It started, I think something like 74 files were downloaded, and the install was well on its way. Before the upgrade completed, I left the computer for a function. When I returned to the computer, it still had Windows 7 Home Premium on it, and the log-on screen was showing. I couldn't log on, but I could restart the computer. The computer restarted and provided the message that the Anytime upgrade failed. The message sent me to Microsoft support for help, but I could not find any contact information. Soooo, here I am writing on this forum for help. What are the next steps? How can I proceed to upgrade to professional (BTW, I had professional running on the computer previously (I must have been allowed to upgrade from the disc). Thank you for your help!!!
