Posted January 31, 201213 yr My state college has the students purchase their own hard drives and then slide them into the computer in the rooms covering technical classes like MS Server and Cisco Routing. We had been loading the drives with XP but recently switched to Win7 Pro. The trouble happens when someone has technical classes in two or more rooms in the same semester. He slips the drive into the computer in room 200 and it grabs the hardware profile. He then has a class in room 250 and it sees a new NIC and/or video card and wants to activate again. Is there a way around this for an education environment or should we revert back to win-xp? Continue reading...
