Hopefully, this is the correct forum. here goes: We are about to begin a deployment of Windows 7. So, we created our base computer, ran sysprep with /GENERALIZE /OOBE /SHUTDOWN /UNATTEND:C:\UNATTEND.XML as the command line options, and took an image using Clonezilla. The original computer had a SID of S-1-5-21-721158011-2119862533-4195510018. After cloning, booting, and running the mini setup, the next two computers both had the SID of S-1-5-21-1553930355-1789213565-949934291. How can this be? I would think that the SID generation process would randomize the SID to prevent this. Is there some key step in the process that I missed? Thanks to all who reply.
