How do I tackle the error code 0x80070564 for inability to turn on real-time protection?

Hi.

It's the first time I'm facing any problem with Security Essentials (SE).

I'd put my PC's SE on scan mode, 'switched user', and gone out, while another user logged in to work.

Later, when I logged back in, I found that the scan was half-finished, and the SE stood automatically turned off.

My efforts to turn on real-time protection have failed.

So the question is: How do I tackle the error code 0x80070564 for inability to turn on real-time protection?
