Posted January 23, 201212 yr The title doesnt quite say it all so let me explain something first. last year ,my buddy was in a computer class and the class gave out windows7 free. He already had windows7 on his PC so he had 2 codes he didnt use. He gave 1 code to my friend (64 bit) and 1 code to me (32bit). I upgraded from windows vista to windows7 32bit with the code and have been using it for about a year. That being said im upgrading parts in my PC to make it run the newer games better, and since 32 doesnt use enough RAM i need to get 64. Heres my question. i went to the MS website to look at their windows7 product page, http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/en_US/list/categoryID.50726100?WT.mc_id=MSCOM_HP_US_Nav_BuyW7 the version of windows7 i have is Professional 32bit. do i have to buy a whole new package of professional for 300$? or can i use the upgrade for 200? or even better yet can i just use the Home premium upgrade for 119 or do i have to buy the 200$ one instead. basicly can i upgrade it at all? or do i have to buy the full product and go from there. EDIT: basicly what do i need to do to get 64 bit on my PC. Continue reading...
