not sure where to post this but my friend recently had a call from a company saying they were calling on behalf of microsoft and said she had major errors and a virus on her computer, they told her to type various things and then she had to type a code in so they could gain remote access, over an hour later and after deleting many files they said they had fixed it and said she had to pay nearly £200 when she said that she didnt have the money they hung up. they called back a few minutes later and said they could get it down to £83. she got a call a few months before this and they said then that she had to pay £83 and that would be it and she would be covered. do microsoft do this or has she been conned? would appreciate any help given, many thanks lisa
