Guest Techbus Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 After a cold start Windows 7 PRO hangs then re-boots continually until it eventually freezes or Windows 7 reports system error. The temporary remedy is to boot to Safe Mode. Windows 7 comes up in Safe Mode and does not re-start or freeze. Safe mode appears to load a different driver or module that does not freeze as the cold boot normal startup does. After a restart from Safe Mode Windows 7 boots normally and does not freeze or restart. Until another cold start. Changed hard drive, got same results.
