Hi - what are the security implications of adding 'about:internet' OR 'res://' to Trusted Sites.

I know what Trusted Sites is, and how it works, and I know about:internet is the MOTW that can be added to webpages to have them treated as 'Internet' - but what I don't understand is what happens to my overall security posture by adding 'about:internet' or res:// into my trusted sites list.

btw - I have been asked to do this by a vendor in order to make their Oracle forms based application work.
