Posted January 17, 201212 yr So I kept getting this error when trying to install Windows 7 from a USB driver. I kept checking forums and troubleshooting. I was reverting back to 32bit windows from a previously installed 64bit version of Windows 7. I kept getting blue screens, so I assumed my Dell Vostro 400 was just never meant to run 64bit (came 32bit stock). Even though it is pointless to have this much ram (2x2gb and 2x1gb) I pulled out the 2x2gb and it finally was able to install the 32bit Operating system, but I don't know if I really need to replace my ram. The computer recognizes it in it's entirety now that the OS is installed. I guess I'm wondering how to go about making sure if my ram really needs to go. Continue reading...
