Guest MichelleSalzman Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I ran a full scan of my laptop and the results listed Trojan:Win32/Bumat!rts as a high-level threat. A message came up asking me if I wanted to quarantine it or delete it. I decided to go online to found out what it was. When I came back to the page of scan results, I discovered that the threat had been put into quarantine. I went to the advanced settings of Microsoft security essentials and found that there was an option to delete quarantined items after a day. I chooses this option. After wailting a day, I checked the history tab and to my dismay, discovered that Trojan:Win32/Bumat!rts was still listed was a quarantied threat. I ran another full scan and Trojan:Win32/Bumat!rts was no longer showing in the results of the scan but was still listed as a quarantined threat on the history page. DOES THIS MEAN THAT IT HAS NOT BEEN REMOVED? IF NOT, HOW DO I REMOVE IT? DO I NEED TO REMOVE THE ITEM TO WHICH Trojan:Win32/Bumat!rts HAS ATTACHED ITSELF. I don Continue reading... Quote
