Hi,

I have a pretty frustrating issue i can't get working. Hopefully someone can help.

A bit of a background

Users across our slower WAN links tend move around in a retail sales environment quite often, logging into different PC's from week to week. Because of our heavy use of emailing images to clients etc, user email can be big. So when they move to a differnet machine i need Outlook to only download headers..

We have just purchased Office 2010 and i have the custom installation deployed and configure perfectly except getting outlook configured with headers only.

  • What i've tried
Using the OCT tool i've selected to "Modify Profile" and "Define changes to make to an existing profile" option, made all my exchange account changes AND under the Cached Mode tab of the exchange account "Use Cached Mode" is selected along with "Download only headers"

I only have one custom OCT change file in the UPDATES folder, and upon installation all my other setting work fine except the Download only Headers.

  • I have also tried the option to configure "Specify Send/Recieve Groups" and selected the INBOX and SENT items folders to be Headers only. This also doesn't seem to work.

Whenever i login as a user new or existing and open Outlook it still continues to download the full items. When i check the Download Perference settings in Outlook under SEND/RECIEVE its always set to Download Full Items.

Does anyone have any ideas on how i can get this working.

Regards Ben.
