Posted January 16, 201213 yr Why in security centre (Windows XP) when i try and turn on the firewall does it say "you are not authorised to change these settings, please see your administrator" ? This is not a work machine it is a home machine and is not connected to any server or anything. The reason i have checked this is that i have found that i have a very unusually high level of upload data amounts charged by my ISP so i am wiondering if in fact my system security is compromised (??)
