Guest xtranet50 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Hi hope someone can help New build PC all hardware 64bit compatible no internet connectio (to infect pc) After installation every executable file I open 32bit or 64 bit for example java or flash or adobe I mean everything I try to install says This version of file is not compatible with the version of windows you are running. Check your computers system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher. I have seen this before on another 64 bit system (strangely the one im using now) and know that there is a fix for this but for the life of me I cannot find it on the web. The first time it took me weeks to find the fix. Does any person have any idea or come accross this before. This is a fresh install (install No 5) of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit OEM SP1 from the MS Disk ver 6.1.7601 SP1 from system info This even occurs if i try to unzip a aipped folder. Somethimes I get cannot find file if I move from the desktop and try to install from root c:\. Does install windows update and I did try a msi file. Tried defaulting extensions back Any ideas??
