Posted January 15, 201213 yr I am running Win 7, 64-bit. When I open IE 9, 64bit, some features of websites don't work properly e.g., the page doesn't open or a video won't run. When I open IE 9 32-bit, I access a website but when I click on a link to go to another feature, say printing a bank statement or something, I get a white page. No matter what I do, I cannot get anything to appear on that page. I have to close out the IE 32-bit and reopen with IE 64-bit to make it work. I have all the latest updates and security packages for my Microsoft products so this is not the issue. It's as if Flash and Active X components are only loaded for the 64-bit version but not the 32-bit one. I'm getting tired of going back & forth between browser versions to get everything to work correctly. Do I need to uninstall IE 9 and reinstall it? Will that fix the problem or is the problem unfixable? I've read where it's not advisable to use 64-bit IE because there is no need to and not much is written to support 64-bit. How do I get all the features of the 64-bit version into the 32-bit version of IE and just use 64-bit version occassionally? Will uninstalling IE 9 cause more problems for me then it's worth or do I just switch to Firefox and get it over with? Continue reading...
