Posted January 15, 201213 yr Well I went to RUN - msconfig - and hit the services tab. I turned them all on and the firewall will turn on now. Not real sure which one got turned off to begin with but it seems to work now. I turned some off to speed up my computer, I didn't need the firewall with Bit Defender 2012. I'll go back and turn some off and see if the firewall will still operate. In the Start Up tab I have disabled some programs there too, and that sped up the start up of my computer quite a bit.
