setup error - purchased and downloaded Office 2010 but cannot install...

receiving Setup error - cannot install 64-bit version of Office 2010 because 32-bit version of trial Office 2007 is installed. need to uninstall all 32-bit Office products then run setup.exe in 64x folder. I went to Control Panel-Uninstall and uninstalled the Office 2007 Trial folders and restarted my laptop. same error msg. I still have the 86x folder and no 64x folder. don't see how to uninstall the 86x (and don't think I want to since lots of programs are in that folder) and can't run setup.exe in a folder that I don't have... please help. Thank you!!!
