Posted January 14, 201212 yr Office Starter Version 2010 came with my new laptop. Rather than upgrade the Starter Version, I purchased Office Porfessional Plus 2010 and installed it. Both versions work. However, when I click on a document to open it either in the directory or in email, the Starter Version opens these documents. This is always a problem as the Starter Version has limited capability. I tried to delete the Starter Version, however, the existing documents would not open with the Pro Plus version. I was able to create new documentw with the Pro Plus version. I then had to reinstall the Starter Version. Now both are working again. Is there a way to delete the Starter version or make it inactive so that the Pro Plus version is the primary version and it works with existing documents - Word and Excel? Continue reading...
