HI

Iam trying to disable the USB port in Windows Xp and Windows 7 , I have tried opening the registry

of the workstation of Win7 & xp and tried changing the Dword = 4 in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\USBSTOR

which works very well . USb ports get disabled

Iam tying is to run the same using the the command prompt on these workstaion to see the whether the regkey can be changed...below is the command

and i dont see the registry dword changes to "4". I would like to know whether the below syntax is right or wrong .

regedit /s [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\USBSTOR] "Start"=dword:00000004

Thanks

JC
