Can't completely remove aborted install of Office 2010 Prof+

I started with the message "the language of this installation package is unsupported by your system" and went through a whole regedit process that i found online to attempt a complete uninstall. This was unsuccessful. Now I have a partial install that I can't back out. Am doing this from an official microsoft backup disk with key.
