Weird issue when using Remote Desktop connection, get low-high beep alarm!

Hi All,

I'm using RDC to work with two Windows XP machines, only one of which has a keyboard and monitor. The other one is just operating as a development database server.

 

Whenever I start the RDC and log in to my other machine, the machine initiating the connection starts to give a low-high low-high beep from the system speaker. It does NOT happen with any other software, only RDC. Apart from this weirdness, the machine is running perfectly. Both machines are Windows XP SP3 and fully updated. Has anyone even heard of this problem before??? The beeping machine has AMIBIOS on an ASUS P5Q SE motherboard with an E8400 3GHz Core-2 Duo Intel processor and 4GB of installed RAM.

 

I can't use the machine like this, it is driving everyone in the office mad with the darn beeping!
