Laptop goes to windows startup repair and wont turn on

hi i downloaded microsoft security essntials on my laptop because i thought i had a virus and wjen i was done downloading security essentials scaned for viruses and said it needed to restart to complete cleanup and now my laptop wont turn on everytime i try it says windows failed to start and constantly goes to windos startup repair. and when i tried windows startup repair it says to resrore the laptop and nothing else is happening. PLEASE HELP ME!!
