Default Line Spacing in MS Word 2010 once again

The Microsoft Word 2007/2010 development team has decided that it is easier to read text that has line spacing set at 1.15 and so made it the default in both versions of the program. That's all well and good except that I work for managers that insist on configuring their MS Word 2010 software to default to line spacing of 1.0 each and every time they open the program and start creating Word 2010 documents. I know that there was another thread discussing this last winter but they did not address my need to make the default line spacing of 1.0 persist from session to session, document to document. Or did I miss something.
