What if somebody who was impatient and didn't know that reformatting partitions during windows setup took FOREVER, turned off their laptop during this process and now when it starts it can't even get to windows setup or read the boot cd and just says "error loading operating system." What have I done? Is this laptop now a paper weight? Thanks for the help...

Hi,

As you turn off the system in mid process, Re-install the os again and format HDD with NTFS, do not do quick format.

When window got install then if you want to format other drives then do format with NTFS in My computer. For more help see this techyv.com/questions/error-loading-operating-system
